We first hit the road in 2022 for a half lap of Australia and fell head over heels for the lifestyle. What was meant to be a one-off adventure quickly turned into a way of life, and now we’re travelling full-time for at least another two years.

For us, it’s about family. The boys are learning so much on the road – from Indigenous culture and wildlife to problem-solving and resilience. It’s an education we could never give them in a classroom, and we love watching them grow through each new experience.

One of our favourite places so far has been the Kimberley. The gorges, waterfalls, and boab-dotted landscapes are breathtaking, but it’s also the sense of community out there that makes it truly special. Being so remote is made easy with a van that’s reliable and built to withstand harsh outback conditions – it gives us the confidence to explore places we might otherwise hesitate to reach.

When it came to our van, we chose Vibe because the design just made sense for a young family. It also featured so many things you usually have to ‘add on’ to a build. We bought a stock van and would honestly change very little – it’s tough, practical, and feels like home. The aftercare has also been second to none; Taylor and Jed always go above and beyond, and that kind of support makes us feel part of a real family, not just customers. We wouldn’t hesitate (and would love) to build with them again in the future.

We share our journey online as Younique Adventurz, hoping to inspire other families to see the magic (and the funny chaos!) of life on the road with kids. It’s not always easy, but it’s always worth it.
